Registration will be from 9:15am to 9:45am in the lobby of the Clonmel Park
Registration is Free. However Voluntary Donations to Down Syndrome Ireland will be gratefully accepted.
Saturdays route also includes an optional excursion to Carrick-on-Suir which adds about 16km to the journey. This year's route again includes an excursion to 'The Crag’. Anyone wishing to avoid it can simply stay on the R691 at Ballingarry and head to Kilkenny via Ballymack or Kilmanagh. The main bunch will re-group in Tullaroan for a group ride into the Marble City.
Lunch will be in The Left Bank on The Parade in Kilkenny and our ETA is 1:15pm. It will consist of sandwiches, soup and tea/coffee. After lunch we'll head out the N76 and the fast charlies will be asked to take the R698 beyond Nine-Mile-House to split off for Carrick-On-Suir before re-joining the group in Clonmel. Sunday's stage will take us from Clonmel to Carrick with an option to climb Seskin Hill to help blow out the cobwebs before returning to Clonmel via Rathgormack in a 60km loop. Both stages are open to all cyclists and both stages will commence at 10am from the Clonmel Park Hotel. Participants can use the Hotel Leisure facility for just 5 euro (free for guests).
We’d appreciate if all intending participants could email Paul Sheridan, organiser of this cycle beforehand. This will help ensure that we have the logistics in place. However we will absolutely accept entries right up until 10am on the Saturday and Sunday. Please simply just show up ready to go. Paul.email@example.com
Paul Sheridan also organises a 4 day 640km cycle through the 6 counties of Munster to raise funds for the 6 county branches of Down Syndrome Ireland. 2016 will be the 7th year of this cycle which takes place from Thursday August 4th to Sunday August 7th finishing with a spectacular sprint up Patricks Hill in Cork. Check out Tour de Munster facebook page and www.tourdemunster.com........New participants ALWAYS welcomed. In the interest of safety, all participants are asked to please familiarise themselves with the 'cycling explanation' doc before Saturday. Moreover they are asked to complete an indemnity form before/at registration.
Please come along and help us to celebrate the Memory of Miss Sarah Dillon; Full of life and love, deeply missed by her Parents Trisha and Brian and all who knew and loved her, she touched so many lives with her cheeky grin and that sparkle in her eyes.
So come along, to cycle or show support, for the beautiful girl may be gone but she WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN. ... See MoreSee Less
We've finally completed the finishing touches to the video from last year's Tour de Leinster Charity Cycle!!
All our guests who attend the TDL2015 Celebration Night last Saturday were given a sneak preview of this incredible footage and now we are delighted to share it with all our followers.
A massive thank you to the very talented Guy Robbins for all his work on the video and once again thank you to our cyclists, sponsors and supporters for your hard work and dedication in making this event one of the best cycling challenges the country has to offer.
So sit back, relax, grab the popcorn and enjoy the show!
